Shuffle club dance first appeared in Melbourne (Australia) at the end of the 80s of the last century. Acid house music was popular at the time, and the shuffle was one of several dances to emerge from this trend. The basis of the shuffle technique is fast, «jazz» dance movements, but nowadays you can dance to dance to almost any electronic club music.
From the moment of its appearance, the shuffle has been actively developing, mainly in night clubs and rave parties. Techno-style music was gradually replaced by house and trance music. In the 90s, a number of videos were released in which you can see how dancers perform shuffle. Like any popular dance, shuffles began to appear underlays and variations, and the name “Melbourne Shuffle” was assigned to the original style. Nowadays, dance has become so popular that in almost every city you can find a dance school in this area, and the Internet is full of many professional online lessons.

● Lyrics
I got a new life
You would hardly recognize me I'm so glad
How could a person like me care for you
Why do I bother
When you're not the one for me
Oooo, is enough, enough
I saw the sign and it opened up my eyes I saw the sign
Life is demanding without understanding
I saw the sign and it opened up my eyes I saw the sign
No one's gonna drag you up to get into the light where you belong
But where do you belong
Under the pale moon
For so many years I've wondered who you are
How can a person like you bring me joy
Under the pale moon
Where I see a lot of stars
Is enough, enough
I saw the sign and it opened up my eyes I saw the sign
Life is demanding without understanding
I saw the sign and it opened up my eyes I saw the sign
No one's gonna drag you up to get into the light where you belong
But where do you belong
Oh, oh, oh, oh.
I saw the sign and it opened up my mind
And I am happy now living without you
I've left you, ooohhh
I saw the sign and it opened up my eyes I saw the sign
No one's gonna drag you up to get into the light where you belong
I saw the sign — I saw the sign — I saw the sign
I saw the sign — I saw the sign
I saw the sign — I saw the sign — I saw the sign
And it opened up my eyes I saw the sign

Lyrics:
I know your eyes in the morning sun
I feel you touch me in the pouring rain
And the moment that you wander far from me
I wanna feel you in my arms again
And you come to me on a summer breeze
Keep me warm in your love then you softly leave
And it's me you need to show
How deep is your love
How deep is your love,
How deep is your love
I really mean to learn
'Cause we're living in a world of fools
Breaking us down
When they all should let us be
We belong to you and me
I believe in you
You know the door to my very soul
You're the light in my deepest darkest hour
You're my saviour when I fall
And you may not think
I care for you
When you know down inside
That I really do
And it's me you need to show
How deep is your love
How deep is your love,
How deep is your love
I really mean to learn
'Cause we're living in a world of fools
Breaking us down
When they all should let us be
We belong to you and me
And you come to me on a summer breeze
Keep me warm in your love then you softly leave
And it's me you need to show
How deep is your love
How deep is your love,
How deep is your love
I really mean to learn
'Cause we're living in a world of fools
Breaking us down
When they all should let us be
We belong to you and me
