Клубный танец шаффл впервые появился в Мельбурне (Австралия) в конце 80-х годов прошлого века. В то время была популярна музыка в стиле acid house, и шаффл стал одним из нескольких танцев, появившихся благодаря этому направлению. Shuffle club dance first appeared in Melbourne (Australia) at the end of the 80s of the last century. Acid house music was popular at the time, and the shuffle was one of several dances to emerge from this trend. The basis of the shuffle technique is fast, «jazz» dance movements, but nowadays you can dance to dance to almost any electronic club music.

From the moment of its appearance, the shuffle has been actively developing, mainly in night clubs and rave parties. Techno-style music was gradually replaced by house and trance music. In the 90s, a number of videos were released in which you can see how dancers perform shuffle.
