Sharp Dressed Man — Lyrics

Clean shirt, new shoes
And I don't know where I am goin' to
Silk suit, black tie,
I don't need a reason why
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man
Gold watch, diamond ring,
I ain't missin' not a single thing
Cufflinks, stick pin,
When I step out I'm gonna do you in
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man
Top coat, top hat,
And I don't worry 'cause my wallet's fat
Black shades, white gloves,
Lookin' sharp lookin' for love
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man

Lyrics:
I've battled demons that won't let me sleep
Called to the sea but she abandoned me
But I won't never give up, no, never give up, no, no
No, I won't never give up, no, never give up, no, no
And I won't let you get me down
I'll keep gettin' up when I hit the ground
Oh, never give up, no, never give up no, no, oh
I won't let you get me down
I'll keep gettin' up when I hit the ground
Oh, never give up, no, never give up no, no, oh
I'll find my way, find my way home, oh, oh, oh (4x)
Oh yeah, I'm haunted by the distant past
Called to the skies but she was overcast
But I won't never give up, no, never give up, no, no
No, I won't never give up, no, never give up, no, no
And I won't let you get me down
I'll keep gettin' up when I hit the ground
Oh, never give up, no, never give up no, no, oh
I won't let you get me down
I'll keep gettin' up when I hit the ground
Oh, never give up, no, never give up no, no, oh
I'll find my way, find my way home, oh, oh, oh (4x)
Never give up (4x)
No, no, oh
And I won't let you get me down
I'll keep gettin' up when I hit the ground
Oh, I never give up, no, I never give up no, no, oh
I won't let you get me down
I'll keep gettin' up when I hit the ground
Oh, I'll never give up, no, I'll never give up no, no, oh
I'll find my way, find my way home, oh, oh, oh (4x)

LYRICS

[Chorus]
Hey Matty, Matty
You be looking so fine
And when you walking down the hall
All the girls form a line
They be like 1,2,3
I hope ya pick me, pick me (no pick me!)
Hi Matty
Hey Matty, Matty
You be looking so good
And when you touch down in my city
Come to my neighborhood
Yeah it’s 123 East Peachtree Street
And see me, no see me, see me
Hi Matty

[Verse 1]
Stop, er’body get woke
I’ve been making hits
Since I was six years old
Kicking it in my living room, after school
And just watching cartoons in my underoos, true
With the click of the remote, I can’t believe it
A music video comes on, what am I seeing?
I jump up and I study the beat
I get to shaking my rump, I get to moving my feet
I get to jumping around, break it down
Coming up with my own smooth dance moves
Like I see on TV
Guess it was all she wrote
I hit a couple of notes
We made a video
And online I go
One turned, to two and three
I went upstairs, I said my prayers
I counted sheep, I fell asleep
And when I woke up the next day
Hi, I’m mattyb

[Chorus}
Hey Matty, Matty
You be looking so fine
And when you walking down the hall
All the girls form a line
They be like 1,2,3
I hope ya pick me, pick me (no pick me!)
Hi Matty
Hey Matty, Matty
You be looking so good
And when you touch down in my city
Come to my neighborhood
Yeah it’s 123 East Peachtree Street
And see me, no see me, see me
Hi Matty

[Verse 2]
These days, these boys cuff a lot
Talking all soft cause they think that’s hot, bro
She won’t retweet “mi amor”
When she get a boyfriend that’s 6’4”
Who you talkin ‘bout, MattyB?
Everybody, don’t front y’all do it
Don’t try to hide it
I ain’t tryna date like 10 billion fans
I’m just tryna write a song that can make ya dance, ya know?
I’m too cool for that
My soul is too old school for that
Like a real tight fade from the barber shop
With a brand new Benz in the parking lot
These boys I see, they tryna sleep
The kings here, try not to speak (shhhhh)
Real recognize real, you see
Y’all tripping, I’m mattyb
Now play my theme song

[Chorus]
Hey Matty, Matty
You be looking so fine
And when you walking down the hall
All the girls form a line
They be like 1,2,3
I hope ya pick me, pick me (no pick me!)
Hi Matty
Hey Matty, Matty
You be looking so good
And when you touch down in my city
Come to my neighborhood
Yeah it’s 123 East Peachtree Street
And see me, no see me, see me
Hi Matty

STOP… everybody dance.
