Hot Legs — Lyrics
Who's that knockin' on my door?
It's gotta be a quarter to four
Is it you again, comin' round for more?
Well, you can love me tonight if you want
But in the morning make sure you're gone
I'm talkin' to you
Hot legs, you're wearin' me out
Hot legs, you can scream and shout
Hot legs, are you still in school?
I love you honey
You got a most persuasive tongue
You promise all kinds of fun
But what you don't understand, I'm a working man
I'm gonna need a shot of vitamin E
By the time you're finished with me
I'm talkin' to you
Hot legs, you're an alley cat
Hot legs, you scratch my back
Hot legs, bring your mother too
I love you, honey
Imagine how my daddy felt
In your jet black suspender belt
Seventeen years old,
He's trudging sixty four
You got legs right up to your neck
You're makin' me a physical wreck
I'm talkin' to you
Hot legs in your satin shoes
Hot legs, are you still in school?
Hot legs, you're makin' me a fool
I love you, honey

Sia performing live at Metro Theatre in Sydney on 25 March 2009
Sia (full name Sia Furler) hails from the famously laid-back Australian city of Adelaide. Boasting a powerful, soulful voice, she worked the Adelaide jazz circuit during the '90s as a vocalist for the band Crisp. However, the blonde, blue-eyed antipodean's big break came only after she followed in the footsteps of many other Aussie artists and hopped on a plane to the U.K. While in London, Sia landed a gig as a backup singer for the very popular and extremely hip English outfit Jamiroquai.
In early 2000, she released her first solo single, the alternative pop tune «Taken for Granted,» which debuted at number ten on the busy U.K. singles chart. Soon after, a string of big names in the British music scene asked for Sia's services; projects with Massive Attack, Zero 7, and William Orbit ensued. In mid-2001, Sia once again made a splash on the U.K. singles chart with the moody offering «Drink to Get Drunk,» a track that would appear on her 2002 full-length debut, Healing Is Difficult. Ironically, it was only after her considerable success abroad that she began to make a real impact down under. Colour the Small One appeared a year later. The track «Breathe Me» from the album gained attention when it was used in the elaborate final scene of the Six Feet Under series that aired in 2005. After a successful 2006 tour, as well as more appearances on Zero 7's album Garden, Sia issued the live album Lady Croissant, which also included the new studio song «Pictures.» In 2008 she released Some People Have Real Problems, her fourth studio album. Old soul, your wounds they show
I know, you have never felt so low
But hold on, head up, be strong
Oh, hold on
Hold on until you hear them come
Here they come oh
Take an angel by the wings
Beg her now for anything
Beg her now for one more day
Take an angel by the wings
Time to tell her everything
Ask her for the strength to stay
Oooooooh
Oooooooh
Oooooooh
Oooooooh (repeat)
You can, you can
Do anything, anything
You can, do anything
You can, you can
Do anything, anything
You can, do anything
You can, you can
Do anything, anything
You can, do anything
You can, you can
Do anything, anything
You can, do anything
Look up, call to the sky, oh
Look up, and don’t ask why
Oh
Just take an angel by the wings
Beg her now for anything
Beg her now for one more day
Take an angel by the wings
Time to tell her everything
Ask her for the strength to stay
Oooooooh
Oooooooh
Oooooooh
Oooooooh (repeat)
You can, you can
Do anything, anything
You can, do anything
You can, you can
Do anything, anything
You can, do anything
You can, you can
Do anything, anything
You can, do anything
You can, you can
Do anything, anything
You can, do anything
You can, you can
Do anything, anything
You can, do anything
You can, you can
Do anything, anything
You can, do anything
You can, you can
Do anything, anything
You can, do anything
You can, you can
Do anything, anything
You can, do anything
