Evgeny Grinko is a talented Russian musician from the small town Zhukovsky located not far from Moscow. He creates music that touches feelings without the need for words and rids indifference. His compositions prove that modern music is not just a shallow show of highly marketed production but has real substance and depth.
He also performs under the name of Greendaizer. He is playing in various local Russian bands, moved to the orchestration field with the arrangement he made for an army band for Joy Division's Love Will Tear Us Apart song. Grinko has given numerous concerts in Turkey.
Evgeny Grinko, became acquainted with music early in his childhood through fairytales and soundtracks to films about The Three Musketeers. His first and strongest influence came at the age of 16 when he was introduced to both punk music and a group of surf rock musicians, and Evgeny began to learn the Guitar and start his own Rockband. Two years later, he became interested in percussion and started playing noisy Rock music in a number of avant-garde groups in the style of noise rock, psychedelia, and experimental electronica.
In 2008, Evgeny Grinko toured Russia, including accompanying “Can” ex-vocalist Damo Suzuki and American minimalist composer Rhys Chatham during their concerts in Russia.
In 2010, during a break from noisy rock concerts, the “Valse” (Waltz) composition was written, while on January 1, 2011, Evgeny Grinko’s first solo mini album for the piano “Winter Sunshine” was released.
His composition, Valse, was viewed on YouTube with 24+ million views.
In 2011, the films “Generation P” (directed by Victor Ginzburg) and “Shapito-shou” (by Sergey Loban) were released and contained music by Evgeny. [3]
In 2014, Evgeny released his third album “Ice For Aureliano Buendia”. The album included the hit song “Valse” and the composition “Serenade”.
Since 2014, Evgeny lives in a small house in the forest – having moved away from the city to find peace and quiet – where he continues to write new compositions and makes music for documentary films.
In 2018, two new albums are planned for release as well as concerts after a three-year hiatus.

His music is recognized by its use of a large variety of instruments in relatively minimalist compositions, often with a touch of either European classical music or French folk music, using primarily the piano, accordion or violin together with instruments like the melodica, xylophone, toy piano, ondes martenot, harpsichord and typewriter. His musical style, particularly when using toy and folk instruments is similar to Penguin Cafe Orchestra and Pascal Comelade, but his more serious work is reminiscent of Frédéric Chopin, Erik Satie, Philip Glass and Michael Nyman. Les Retrouvailles is an album by French musician Yann Tiersen. Released in 2005, it features a number of high-profile guest vocalists, both French and Anglophone alike: Christophe Miossec, Dominique A, Elizabeth Fraser (of the Cocteau Twins), Jane Birkin, and Stuart Staples (of the Tindersticks). As is customary with his albums, Tiersen showcases his multi-instrumental skills, which on the album encompasses the accordion, piano, mandolin, and harpsichord, among others.
Les Retrouvailles also includes a DVD short film entitled La Traversée, directed by Aurelie du Boys, which documents the making of the album and incorporates an animated video for the non-album track, «Le Train,» and also live versions of a handful of songs. In French towns and villages small specialized shops and family hotels are disappearing in a short timespan.
Many shop windows of traditional butchers, bakers, caterers, etc. are empty or even boarded up. The arrival of huge supermarkets and hotel chains is a major cause of this phenomenon and the current crisis only accelerates this unfortunate development.
This also eliminates the social function of small shops as a meeting place and also the craftsmanship often transferred from generation to generation gets lost.
Dans les villes et villages de France les petits commerçants et des hôtels de la famille sont en train de disparaître.
De nombreuses fenêtres de bouchers traditionnels, boulangers, traiteurs, etc. sont vides et parfois même barricadé. L'arrivée des grands supermarchés et les chaînes hôtelières est une cause majeure et la crise actuelle accélère cette évolution regrettable.
Cela élimine également la fonction sociale des petits commerces comme un lieu de rencontre et aussi le savoir-faire souvent hérité de génération à génération se perd.
In Franse steden en dorpen verdwijnen in hoog tempo de kleine winkeliers en hotels.
Veel etalages van ambachtelijke slagers, bakkers, traiteurs etc. zijn leeg en soms zelfs dichtgespijkerd. De komst van de grote supermarkten en hotelketens is een belangrijke oorzaak en de huidige crisis versnelt deze treurige ontwikkeling.
Hiermee verdwijnt ook de sociale functie als ontmoetingsplaats en het ambachtelijke vakmanschap dat vaak van generatie op generatie is overgedragen.

Amélie is a 2001 romantic comedy film directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet. Its original French title is Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain meaning «The Fabulous Destiny of Amélie Poulain». Written by Jeunet with Guillaume Laurant, tells the story of a shy waitress, played by Audrey Tautou, who decides to change the lives of those around her for the better, while struggling with her own isolation.
Amélie won best film at the European Film Awards; it won four César Awards, two BAFTA Awards (including Best Original Screenplay), and was nominated for five Academy Awards.
