싸이의 신곡 'I LUV IT'(아이 러브 잇) 뮤직비디오가 조회수 1천만뷰 돌파를 눈앞에 두고 메이킹 영상이 공개됐다.
12일 YG 엔터테인먼트는 공식 블로그(www.yg-life.com)을 통해 싸이의 8집 '4x2=8' 더블타이틀곡 중 하나인 'I LUV IT' 뮤직비디오 메이킹 영상을 공개했다.
해당 영상 속 싸이는 촬영 감독, 스태프, 안무팀, 보조 출연진 등과 촬영 전부터 소품, 안무, 동선, 자세 하나까지 꼼꼼하게 디렉팅하는 등 프로페셔널한 모습을 보였다.
특히 'I LUV IT'의 가사인 '수박을 먹을 때는 씨 발라먹어'를 부르는 장면에서 싸이는 수박 씨 몇 십 개를 입 속에서 따발총처럼 뱉어내 보는 이들에게 큰 웃음을 안겼다.
이번 뮤직비디오의 또 하나의 관전 포인트인 배우 이병헌의 깜짝 출연 또한 눈길을 끌었다.
이병헌은 브레이크 댄스와 마임 연기를 선보이며 "녹슬지 않았군. 내가 춤을 가르쳐줘야 되나?"며 '셀프 칭찬'으로 분위기를 띄웠다.
평소 카리스마 넘치는 모습과 달리 이병헌은 싸이와 '춤신춤왕' 다운 모습으로 완벽한 호흡을 자랑했다.
뿐만 아니라, 싸이는 한옥을 배경으로 하는 촬영에서 즉석 아이디어를 제안하는가 하면 의상을 무려 20번을 갈아입는 등 열의를 보였다. "나 진짜 태어나서 춤 제일 많이 춘 것 같아"라며 소감을 전하기도 했다.
한편, 싸이는 오는 13일 오후 8시 50분에 방송되는 JTBC '아는 형님'을 시작으로 SBS '인기가요', '판타스틱 듀오2', MBC '황금어장 라디오스타' 등 다양한 방송 활동을 이어갈 예정이다.

But the 21-year-old artist has already begun to take shape as a creative force with a sound she calls «dark pop,» melding sparse hip-hop beats with an ear for melody and interpretation. She might be a natural-born pop star: When she'd released just two songs, the BBC picked her for its Sound of 2016 list.

But even if pop stardom feels somewhat like a destiny to her — her father is the Kosovar Albanian singer Dukagjin Lipa and she grew up idolizing and imitating pop stars like Toni Braxton and Nelly Furtado — she is just starting to put together the elements that might make it a reality. And despite the fact that she has racked up over 100 million views on YouTube and attracted millions of followers and listeners on social media and Spotify, most of Dua Lipa's renown comes from her home in Europe. So when she arrived in New York to play her American television debut — on The Tonight Show, no less — the stakes were clear, and the possibilities high. She would have just a few minutes to introduce herself to the biggest pop audience in the world.

Noteworthy host Jason King met Dua Lipa in New York the morning before the Tonight Show performance for the latest episode in the NPR Music documentary series. They spoke about how she developed her sound, why she's always wanted to be a pop star, and why breaking through in the United States is so important to her.
