Клубный танец шаффл впервые появился в Мельбурне (Австралия) в конце 80-х годов прошлого века. В то время была популярна музыка в стиле acid house, и шаффл стал одним из нескольких танцев, появившихся благодаря этому направлению. В наше время танец стал настолько популярным, что практически в каждом городе можно найти танцевальную школу этого направления, а интернет переполняет множество профессиональных онлайн-уроков.
